About AWTAD

AWTAD, the Association for Women's Total Advancement & Development, is a non-profit association, led by a group of businesswomen and executives, who believe in the future of women in Egypt. Our mission is to "empower and engage the community, to mobilize the role of women as nucleolus development agents, through effectively leveraging Egypt's social and human capital."

AWTAD is also a founding member of the MENA-BWN (Middle East & North Africa Businesswomen’s Network); which currently has ten other member countries, known as "Network Hubs," from the MENA region. The MENA-BWN serves an ideal forum for sharing information and exchanging ideas, ultimately resulting in greater success for all involved.

Our Strategy

Our strategy involves enabling women, men, and youth to collaborate in pursuing mutual goals. We work with different sectors and organizations, to target common areas of interest, which adds synergy to all our programs.

Our Objectives

  • Create a trust-based network that facilitates knowledge-sharing, exchange of ideas, and increases B2B prospects.


  • Advocate issues related to SMEs and Civil Society.


  • Revitalize the culture of collective action, reciprocity, volunteerism and entrepreneurship in Egypt.


  • Enhance the capabilities, skills, and health of Egyptian women.
