The Ugly Duckling Dilemma of Breast Cancer…
Do you know how an ugly duckling is handled? You see her and yet you really do not, you whisper about her and yet never really try to get close enough to understand, ignore her and maybe she will go away….Breast Cancer is women's every nightmare and they with the help of society as a whole handle the disease as an ugly duckling.
We have come to the stage where we are all aware of the threat of Breast Cancer and we know about mammograms and self exams, yet we are totally unprepared to face the disease. Women and society have not yet been able to formalize a proactive attitude towards handling this ugly duckling. As human beings we naturally do not want to know or hear anything bad about ourselves or our dear ones but this is a one time that we have to rise above our human nature and stand strong for ourselves and others who will need us. We need to develop a mechanism to stare ugliness in the face and be ready to fight it all the way…
AWTAD is developing a campaign to involve everyone in becoming proactive towards Breast Cancer in support of the great women in our lives called "GOPINK and Rethink Breast Cancer". We invite people in their personal and professional capacity to join us in creating a proactive atmosphere for BC Victims. As a retail shop, car manufacturer or dealer, restaurant, manufacturer of any items whether food, shampoo, etc you can join the GOPINK Campaign and be recognized nation wide as a socially conscious Company by contributing all year round to raise society's awareness and fund fighting BC. If you are a doctor, facilitator, laboratory owner, mammogram center in the field of cancer then sign up and be part of the GOPINK Advisory Council and you can help hundreds to take faster steps towards treatment and fighting the disease. If you are a person with a big heart and a socially conscious mind then GOPINK and wear AWTAD's fighting gloves and let us all unite to make tomorrow come for another woman…
