About the MENA-BWN :

AWTAD is the Egyptian Hub of the MENA- BWN (Middle East and North Africa Businesswomen's Network); which is a partnership between local businesswomen's organizations across the Middle East and North Africa, Vital Voices Global Partnership and the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) of the U.S. Department of State. The goal of the partnership is to build a network of businesswomen in MENA in order to expand the number of women in business, to increase the value of their businesses, to advance the role of women in society, and to promote a regional culture of women's entrepreneurship.

The Network has eleven member countries, known as "Network Hubs", namely Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait, Palestine, Algeria, Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt. The MENA-BWN provides a forum for peer learning, information exchange, business development and access to education, resources and tools, all of which are supportive of expanding economic opportunities and building networks in the MENA region. Network Hubs are committed to contributing to economic growth and reform, to supporting the needs of women-led businesses and professional women and to having a significant social impact. Currently, more Hubs are being added, membership is expanding, capacity is being strengthened and program offerings are being added. Each country has a dedicated Network Hub Manager, who works closely with the Hub Executives, as well as a Regional Coordinator at Vital Voices, to expand, strengthen and support the growth of the Hub, and the Network as a whole.
