Business Management Essentials™
Practical Skills to Succeed in a World of Change

Program Concept
The most successful enterprises of any size have a strong cadre of management talent: managers who are able to act decisively; to plan effectively; to develop and motivate their people; to find and penetrate markets and to get out in front of their competition in the global marketplace. Into this environment, Vital Voices, in collaboration with business, education, entrepreneurship, technology leaders introduces Business Management Essentials (BME), a unique and innovative curriculum that aims to enable businesspeople and professionals to become highly effective managers.

Designed for busy professionals, BME is a set of practical, skills-based courses designed to help participants learn key management skills and concepts, and apply them in their organization’s context. Offered on a flexible schedule with classroom and online components, coursework is, linked to the participant’s workplace through a series of interactive lessons and exercises and supported by extensive faculty and learner resources. While there seems to be no shortage of management training courses in the MENA region, BME is the first to offer Arabic and French support for complex business management concepts, enabling effective learning and accelerating student attainment of learning objectives.

BME targets college graduates who are running businesses, working in SMEs or larger enterprises, as well as professionals in government or corporates who have responsibility for managing any size operation, or who aspire to move into management roles, and want to sharpen their skills and capabilities while working full-time.

In testing and development for over a year, BME is now available across the MENA region with courses starting in the first quarter of 2010, through premier local training partners. Carrying the FT Knowledge Brand, and backed by Pearson, Edexcel, Cisco, Vital Voices and the MENA Businesswomen’s Network, Business Management Essentials will be used to train the next generation of managers in the MENA region.

Program Partners
A program with the breadth and depth of BME could only be conceived and brought to the market through a group of multi-national and regional partners with a shared vision for the program’s outcomes.
